The NBA Draft is 18 days away! The San Antonio Spurs have the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. With much coverage from NBA TV, ESPN and various international medias we, fans of the game, experienced a reimagining of what is possible on a basketball court. A young Kareem Abdul-Jabbar changed the game so much so that they banned dunking. At a time of intolerance and following tradition, Kareem was bending the reality of the game. Today, we embrace the next step in Basketball Evolution. Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs will be selecting 1st for the 3rd time in franchise history. Previous 1st overall picks were BIG men David Robinson and Tim Duncan! Those are big shoes too fill, but Victor’s size 20.5 shoes stand 10-toes down in the pursuit of greatness. He goes to great lengths to keep his body strong with pre and post game anaerobics. His draft-eligible counterparts are eager to prove why they should’ve been taken first. Two, of the many, players are Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller.

Brandon Miller: 3-level scorer .385% on 7.5 Attempts

Scoot Henderson: 6.5 Assists per game on 30.7 minutes

Victor Wembanyama: 21.6 points 10.4 rebounds and 3.0 blocks

San Antonio Spurs GM Brian Wright will make the right decision and draft the 7’4″, 8’0″ wingspan Victor Wembanyama. Victor’s game-processing and foot speed set him apart from any player ever, at that height. He is currently leading Metropolitans 92 to the LNB Championship with teammate and potential lottery pick Bilal Coulibaly. Scroll through this mock draft and see who your favorite team may choose, or maybe where Victor’s teammate Bilal will end up. Enjoy!
